About
"Les Bolards" is a Gallo-Roman archaeological site. Excavations of this settlement have revealed a wealth of remains, including dwellings, public buildings, streets lined with shops and workshops and, above all, a remarkable religious centre comprising a large sanctuary and a temple dedicated to Mithras. The town was founded in the 1st century BC by the Aedui and then Romanised. It was occupied until the early 5th century.
To ensure the proper conservation of the remains and the safety of visitors, the archaeological site is currently only accessible during guided tours organised by the Nuits-Saint-Georges municipal museum. You can also book a different date for a group. For more information, please contact the museum (03.80.62.01.37 / accueil.musee@nuitsstgeorges.com).
